The safeguards used before a candidate story can become a published AI Wire brief.
Source and accuracy gate
- Every material claim must be traceable to a direct link, publication date, and access date.
- Primary sources establish what an organization announced; they do not independently prove its performance claims.
- Allegations, disputes, safety incidents, leaks, and claims about identifiable people require stronger corroboration and careful attribution.
- AI-generated summaries are drafts. A human approves the headline, claims, context, links, and publication state.
Copyright and writing gate
- Facts and ideas may be reported, but another publisher’s wording, structure, graphics, and photography are not copied.
- AI Wire writes original summaries from verified facts and links readers to the source. A source link is attribution—not permission to reproduce its work.
- Quotations are exceptional, short, necessary, clearly attributed, and checked against the original.
- Paywalls, access controls, watermarks, and technical restrictions are never bypassed.
Image and media gate
- Original AI Wire illustrations and code-generated graphics are the default.
- Third-party media requires documented public-domain status, an applicable license, express editorial-use terms, or written permission.
- The publication record must retain the creator, source URL, license URL or permission evidence, required credit, and any modification disclosure.
- Search-result thumbnails, social posts, press-page images, and “editorial use” labels are not treated as reusable without checking the actual terms.
- Logos and trademarks are used only when necessary for identification and never in a way that suggests sponsorship or affiliation.
Approval and correction gate
Daily monitoring stops after presenting candidate stories. Publication begins only after the owner approves named candidates. The resulting change stays in a draft pull request until reviewed. Published records retain their original dates in the archive; corrections and material updates stay attached to the affected article.
